Rockets' Dillon Brooks, Ime Udoka fined combined $60K for jawing at refs in loss to Bucks

In a Sunday night 128-119 loss to the Milwaukee Bucks, Houston Rockets forward Dillon Brooks and head coach Ime Udoka criticised referees.

Tuesday, the league fined Udoka $25,000 for "directing inappropriate language towards a game official," and Brooks $35,000 for publicly criticising officiating.

A perceived missed call caused the Rockets to react as they tried to come back from a 125-116 deficit in the final minute.

Brooks deflected a Khris Middleton pass in the backcourt and appeared to be pushed out of bounds while keeping the ball in play.

Referees didn't whistle until Brooks questioned the play. He was called for a technical foul for flopping while arguing.

Brooks kept yelling at referee Suyash Mehta, who quickly called another technical foul, which got Brooks kicked out of the game.

Both newly sanctioned Rockets are in Houston for the first time. After a suspension as Boston Celtics head coach, Udoka was hired in April.
