Report: Draymond begins counseling, expected to miss at least three weeks

Shams Charania of The Athletic reported Monday morning that the four-time NBA champion has begun counseling, citing sources.

Charania said league sources said Green would receive counseling and work with Golden State and the NBA during his suspension.

Charania said the 33-year-old is "prepared to undergo the process required" to return to the Warriors.

NBA EVP and head of basketball operations Joe Dumars explained Green's indefinite suspension on ESPN's "First Take" last week.

To give Green time to recover mentally before returning to the team, the suspension should not be numbered.

"Indefinite means correct yourself. We want you to be your best, so get mentally and emotionally healthy "Dumars said.

Green appeared in 15 of 23 Golden State games before suspension. Three ejections, five suspensions, and two injury and one personal absences.
