Jayson Tatum shares update on sprained ankle after loss to Warrior
Just four minutes into Tuesday's game at Chase Centre against the Golden State Warriors, Boston Celtics supporters held their collective breath.
After stepping on Warriors player Brandin Podziemski at 7:55 in the first quarter, Celtics star Jayson Tatum damaged his left ankle. After the play, Tatum staggered to the locker room.
Thankfully, Tatum started the Celtics' second quarter. Tatum scored 15 points on 5 of 17 shooting in Boston's 132-126 overtime loss despite eight rebounds, seven assists, and two steals.

To be honest, spraining your ankle swells and stiffens it. It makes moving harder. Since I was still playing, I think you can't make excuses.
Tatum got the ball in the waning seconds of regulation, but he missed a contested 3-pointer with Jonathan Kuminga in his airspace, sending the game to overtime.
