Jared Verse won't play in Orange Bowl after declaring for 2024 draft
One of the most talented edge rushers in college football has announced that they would be entering the NFL Draft in 2024.
Jared Verse made the announcement that he will be focusing on getting ready for his professional career and will not be playing for Florida State in the Orange Bowl.
Despite going undefeated this season, Florida State was not selected for the college football playoffs; instead, they will play Georgia in Miami on January 30.
Verse played in 25 games for the Seminoles after transferring from Albany to Florida State prior to the 2022 campaign.
In those appearances, he recorded 89 tackles, 29.5 tackles for loss, 18 sacks, a forced fumble, and two fumble recoveries.
Verse should be selected early in April, along with two highly regarded edge players Dallas Turner and Laiatu Latu who are entering the NFL this season.
