Bulls cite connectedness as most important element to improved play

DeMar DeRozan and Zach LaVine left the Bulls' fifth straight loss and eighth in nine games injured. The Boston Celtics thrashed the Bulls 124-97.

Monday night at Wells Fargo Center. Despite missing LaVine and Torrey Craig, the Bulls defeated the NBA's top net rating-leading Philadelphia 76ers.

Coach Billy Donovan said a five-man group is most important. “If you don't have that and talent is equal or undermanned, talent is lower.

Connectivity, basketball sharing and movement, defensive coverage, extra passing, rotations, and charges are most important.

There have been games this year where we shouldn't be upset because we didn't even try to win.

Not winning like they did against Milwaukee and Miami hurts. Then you must assess our need for improvement.”

The Bulls gave up three crucial offensive rebounds late in Saturday's loss to the Heat but recovered against a long 76ers team.
