Bulls' Alex Caruso starts campaign to get Coby White in 3-point shootout

After finishing his postgame media session in Philadelphia late Monday night, Alex Caruso made one more unprompted comment.

“One last thing. A Coby White 2024 3-point contest. Get that gong, Caruso said. “He wants me in there. Not doing that. He's the act.”

In some ways, Caruso's gesture seemed to reciprocate White's campaign after a recent home game to get him into the regular All-Star game. Alternatively, it seemed more realistic.

With his stellar defence and 45.3 percent 3-point shooting and a career-high 9.4 points per game, Caruso is having his best NBA season.

He still takes 3.4 attempts per game In addition, Caruso averages 23 minutes per game and has missed six due to injuries.

The Bulls' 11-17 record could improve between now and All-Star reserves and weekend participants.

White and Indiana Pacers guard Tyrese Haliburton are making compelling cases for invites, but they lack Stephen Curry's starpower.
