It’s time for the Knicks to start Immanuel Quickley

When the Knicks played four games on the West Coast, they went 2-2 while Mitchell Robinson was hurt.

They got two tough wins and made it through the trip, but their core lineups looked much less stable than usual, and their defence fell apart completely.

In fact, New York's defence has gone from being one of the best in the league to being the worst in the league over the last nine games.

Robinson's absence and Quentin Grimes' move to the bench have both cut down on the minutes of their best perimeter defender.

The Knicks need a spark to shake off these creeping weaknesses and break out of their.500 play with Robinson's return far off and no rumoured star trade.

Despite his breakout season, last year's Sixth Man of the Year runner-up is playing fewer minutes this season.

He's averaging nearly the same line in five fewer minutes, but he's improved his free throw accuracy and difficult three-point shot making.
