Wiggins' benching serves as spark for Warriors forward vs. Blazer

Wiggins and the Warriors are both doing pretty well so far after Steve Kerr took him out of the starting lineup and put him on the bench.

Wiggins helped the Warriors beat the Portland Trail Blazers 118-114 at Moda Center on Sunday after Stephen Curry's shot was off and his NBA record for consecutive 3-pointers ended.

In 29:20 minutes, Wiggins scored 25 points on 9-of-12 shooting with four 3-pointers, seven rebounds, two assists, one steal, and one block.

His longest time playing since benching. Andrew at his best, Kerr told reporters after the game. He looks like someone I know.

The man was aggressive. Confident. Attacked, took shots, made good passes. I thought Andrew was brilliant.”

He finished his big night with a dunk off an alley-oop pass from Curry to put the Warriors up 113-106 with under two minutes left.

Wiggins said he played well. “I attacked the boards, was locked in defensively, and was aggressive offensively. A decent game.”
