What we learned as Steph, Warriors' offense gel in win vs. Wizard
Stephen Curry returned to form in Friday's 129-118 win over the Washington Wizards in San Francisco, extending Golden State's Chase Centre winning streak to seven games and ending Jordan Poole's comeback.
The two-time MVP rebounded after missing five of his first six shots to reiterate his league-leading sharpshooting. Curry scored 30 points on eight 3-pointers, his third in four games.
Curry opened against the Wizards with plenty of backup, unlike many nights. Steve Kerr wants to play Trayce Jackson-Davis more after he had his second career double-double with 10 points and 15 rebounds.
Klay Thompson scored 20 points, Jonathan Kuminga raced and dunked all season, and Klay Thompson scored 20. Chet Holmgren, Jackson-Davis, and No. 1 choice Victor Wembanyama were the only rookies with consecutive points-rebounds double-doubles.
Best offensive stretch for Kuminga. He scored 22 points, four rebounds, three assists, and another thundering slam, four shy of his career high.
Kuminga comes up big again
The Warriors prevailed despite emotional play after Poole's comeback. Post-free shot boos follow pre-game introductions cheers for Poole. His amazing comeback was handled similarly by Golden State.
Warriors keep cool in Poole's return
After missing Tuesday's game with back pain, Brandin Podziemski started. While shooting poorly in the first half, Podziemski grabbed four rebounds and three assists. Ten points, seven rebounds, and five assists.
