The world's oldest dog, Bobi, dies at 31. 

A family residence located 93 miles north of Lisbon, the capital. 

Bobi was born on May 11, 1992, according to Guinness. 

In February of 2023, the senior dog was officially recognized as the oldest dog in the world. 

On Monday, the world record-breaking authority certified his death Saturday aged 31 years and 165 days.

According to Guinness, Bobi was the oldest dog and person ever.  

Previous record-holder Bluey, an Australian cow dog born in 1910, survived 29 years and five months. 

Spike, a 23-year-old Ohio chihuahua mix, is currently the world's oldest dog after Bobi's death.
