Eric Gordon, Grayson Allen, and Josh Okogie missed the game due to the Suns' depth issue. Durant, Booker, and Beal scored or assisted on 97 of 112 points for a top-heavy club that contributed only four bench points outside of Nassir Little.

Every starter scored in double figures and four bench players combined for 26 points for the Nets. After a warm greeting and a video tribute, former Suns Cameron Johnson and Mikal Bridges, traded for Durant last season, scored 36 points.

Of course, one game is not enough to determine a team's viability, let alone one in which three players play together for the first time with half their top bench out.
