Rockets' Dillon Brooks fined $35,000, Ime Udoka $25,000 for comments about referee

Dillon Brooks knew he would be fined after being ejected against the Bucks over the weekend and telling reporters postgame.

The league office fined Brooks $35,000 Tuesday "for directing inappropriate language towards a game official and publicly criticising the officiating."

With 48.1 seconds left in the Milwaukee-Houston game, Houston was down nine. Rockets pressured the inbound pass without rolling over.

Brooks deflected a Khris Middleton pass that started to go out of bounds. Both players went after it, but Brooks saved it for Milwaukee's Pat Connaughton

Brooks and Udoka say Middleton pushed them, as shown below, and a whistle and Rockets free throws were due.

Instead, Brooks received a technical for flopping. Udoka followed Brooks to the locker room after he backed up Brooks and was ejected for arguing that call.

The time and score may not have warranted Brooks and Udoka's ejection, but they were frustrated with the officiating all game.
