Report: NFL denies appeal of Dom DiSandro sideline banishment
The National Football League has rejected the appeal of the sentence that was handed down to the Eagles and Dom DiSandro, the security head,
for the confrontation that occurred on the sideline on December 3 during the game between the 49ers and the Eagles. This information was obtained via Rob Maaddi of the Associated Press.
Philadelphia was fined $100,000 and DiSandro was suspended for the rest of the 2023 season. DiSandro missed two games. Will miss three more.
The league made the decision to send a second memo regarding the rules that apply to non-player personnel who are viewing games from the sidelines as a result of the incidence that took place.
An identical topic was discussed in a memo that was distributed in the month of September. The recent letter that the league delivered to the teams,
which addressed the dos and don'ts for non-players who have access to the sidelines during games, most likely did not help DiSandro's predicament. This is because the letter addressed the dos and don'ts for those individuals.
