Paul Pierce jokes he wants ‘P.J. Tucker minutes' on a 10-day contract

Paul Pierce discussed "The Truth's" Instagram post of him draining 3-pointers in an open gym on his former teammate Kevin Garnett's podcast, KG Certified.

"Give me a 10-day [contract]," Pierce told Garnett, joined by ex-Celtic Tony Allen. "I got the cameraman to come follow the whole process."

The Celtics Hall of Famer averaged 21.8 points, 6 rebounds, 3.9 assists, and 1.4 steals per game in 15 seasons, earning 10 All-Star nods.

After leaving Boston, Pierce played for the Brooklyn Nets, Washington Wizards, and Clippers before retiring.Pierce, 46, still believes he can play in the NBA.

P.J. Tucker, 38, of the Clippers has found a way to stay on a roster past his prime. Tucker was never as productive as Pierce, but he became a locker room leader.

If I shoot 10 corner threes today [two wide open, a couple with a hand in the face], I'll hit six "Pierce added.

I'll find my groove in a 3-point league "Pierce laughed. "I'll groove. "I'll miss the first three shots, but the next three will go in, and then I got my rhythm."
