NFL results: San Francisco 49ers win NFC West and Buffalo Bills beat Dallas Cowboy

San Francisco 49ers clinched their division and a few NFL playoff spots, but Buffalo Bills' demolition of Dallas Cowboys made the biggest statement.

Dallas had clinched a play-off spot before their game in Buffalo, but the Bills overwhelmed them and will be a threat if they can make it.

After two losses, the Kansas City Chiefs bounced back but still had dropped passes, while the Miami Dolphins shut out the New York Jets 30-0 as their playoff drought entered its 13th year.

Chiefs trail Dolphins and Baltimore Ravens, who beat Jacksonville Jaguars to maintain top spot in AFC standings before their Christmas Eve game with Miami, which could determine a first-round bye.

They should have beaten the Eagles in Philadelphia, beat the Chiefs in Kansas City, and crushed the Cowboys 31-10 on Sunday, showing a newfound physical dominance in the trenches.

With a season-low 195 yards and a power run game from James Cook (179 yards, two touchdowns), Buffalo held the league's best scoring attack in check.

A miraculous Achilles surgery recovery aside, Rodgers will not be risked this season as New York's summer of hope has been replaced by a familiar feeling of failure.
