Checkout Lakers unveil in season tournament championship banner in brief ceremony at Crypto.com Arena

The Los Angeles Lakers unveiled their latest banner at Crypto.com Arena on Monday night. 

After winning the inaugural NBA cup earlier this month, the Lakers raised their championship banner at their downtown Los Angeles arena on Monday night.

The Lakers' 114-109 loss to the Knicks was preceded by a brief ceremony to unveil the smaller banner, which differs from the other 12 championship banners the team won after coming to Los Angeles.

 Before removing the banner's black drape, the squad aired a highlight package from the in-season tournament title run.

The Lakers are still celebrating the win, even though NBA commissioner Adam Silver wasn't there and Lakers owner Jeanie Buss didn't speak.

This year's first in-season tournament saw the Lakers go 7-0 and defeat the Pacers in Las Vegas. After seven games of 26.4 points, eight rebounds, 7.6 assists, and 1.6 steals, LeBron James was named tournament MVP.

Jim shot 56.8% from the field and over 60% from behind the arc. The All-Tournament Team included James and Davis.

A bonus of $500,000 was awarded to each and every player and coach on the Lakers team as a result of their victory.

Since beating the Pacers, the Lakers have gone 1-3 and split two games with the San Antonio Spurs, who were on a franchise-worst 18-game losing run. In Monday's loss, James scored 25 points, 11 assists, and 10 rebounds

Davis had 32 points and 14 rebounds. Brunson led the Knicks with 29 points, while Randle had 27 and 13 rebounds. Three of their last five wins have put the Knicks at 15-11.
