Celtics' ‘too small' post comes back to haunt them vs. Warrior

The Boston Celtics would like to relive a few moments from their 132-126 overtime loss to the Warriors at Chase Centre on Tuesday.

In the third quarter, Boston led Golden State 81-70 with 6:13 left. Brown worked his way into the paint and dropped in a basket over Curry, earning a foul.

Brown told reporters after the game that his celebration was unimportant and praised Curry and Klay Thompson for their fourth-quarter and overtime shots that sealed Boston's fate.

Just basketball. Brown said competing. "Mismatched. I will take advantage of any small in the area. We wanted them to participate in future actions.

It seemed like we were stagnant on defence when we should have been more aggressive, and they took advantage.

They hit some tough shots. Steph made another big three after Klay's. But those are some of the best shooters this game has ever seen, so that can happen and we must improve."

After losing to Golden State in the 2022 NBA Finals, Brown and the Celtics learned another hard lesson on Tuesday night.
