3 Rare Stamps Hiding in Plain Sight: Check Your Mail

This 15-cent stamp, which shows a picture of the 16th President of the United States, was released just two years after Lincoln was killed.

These Abraham Lincoln stamps, one of the first post-Civil War designs, were significant to the nation.

The "Inverted Jenny" stamp, which came out on May 10, 1918, is so well-known that many people who don't collect stamps know about it.

A brand-new Inverted Jenny sold at a Siegel auction in 2016 for $1.35 million, and a group of four sold in 2019 for $1.74 million.

The stamp features a Curtiss JN-4 biplane that is clearly upside down, which is why it's called the "Inverted Jenny."

There are only seven of these Alexandria provisional stamps that have been found, and only one of them is a lovely blue color.

This "Blue Boy" stamp was sent with a love letter in 1847. The letter was supposed to be thrown away after it was opened.
